Kiendel Burritt

Kiendel Burritt has 20+ years of experience making investments across Africa. She has a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and practical issues involved in making early-stage investments as well as supporting companies in early and growth stages to scale. She has deployed capital using a range of instruments included equity, quasi-equity and debt. As the founder of Digital Africa Investment, Kiendel makes investments in and advises digitally-enabled businesses in Africa which have potential for large-scale economic and social impact. In addition to investing on behalf of Funds, Ms. Burritt has become an active angel investor in pre-seed and seed funding rounds having invested in companies in diverse sectors: fintech, AI, logistics, healthtech, regtech and local content creation, curation and distribution (quizzes, games, music and film.) With a keen interest in ocean economy businesses, Kiendel is mentoring ocean economy businesses with the ambition to include sustainable ocean economy businesses in her own angel portfolio.

 

Ms. Burritt holds an MPA from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts in History (Magna Cum Laude) from Wellesley College where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

Kimunya Mugo

Kimunya Mugo: As a Certified Professional Coach, International Coaching Federation Member, Clarity4D Accredited Business Partner, Strategic Planning Consultant and Communication & Branding Specialist. Kimunya has over 20 years plus experience and competence and has worked in both profit and not-for-profit sectors: business, natural resources, communication, IT, consulting, health-care and legal. He currently provides coaching to individuals, organizations and businesses.

He chairs the Board of Kenya Network for Dissemination of Agricultural Technologies and serve as a Commissioner in the Sports & Environment Commission, National Olympic Committee of Kenya. He has previously served as Board Member of International Coach Federation Kenya Charter Chapter (2018-19).

 

Kimunya holds a MA in Mass Communications – University of Leicester, a BSc in Horticulture from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology (JKUAT) and a• Certificate in Leadership Development – Institute of Leadership & Management, UK.

Shakila Kerre

Shakila Kerre is an experienced Financial Sector Development specialist with a history of working on enhancing financial inclusion within sub- Saharan Africa through innovative product development. She is highly skilled in Project Management, Pipeline Development, Investment Appraisal, Risk Management, Consultant Management, and Monitoring and Results Measurement.

She is currently the Manager, Credit Innovations at FSD Africa. Prior to this, Shakila was the Manager, Financial Institutions, Fintech Sector where was instrumental in Change Management and Building Services Markets.

 

Shakila holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Specialized Economic Analysis from Barcelona graduate school of economics and a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Nairobi.

Paul Nyangabyaki

Paul Nyangabyaki is a Social Entrepreneur, Communication Advisor and Sports Consultant. He has over 20 years experience and is currently the Founder and Managing Director at Cradle Communications Limited. He held several leadership positions where he was and continues to Change Management, New Business Development and Strategic planning for startups and early-stage enterprises.

 

He holds a PGD Mass Communication, Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs from Makerere University and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), Business Administration and Management.

Nyawera Kibuka

Nyawera Kibuka is a seasoned HR professional and is also a Director and Founder of Cedar Africa Group, an 8+year old HR and Change Management Pan-Africa firm providing change management and talent management solutions. Nyawera was instrumental in forging a global strategic partnership with Prosci® the leading change management solution provider which Cedar represents in the Eastern African region. Nyawera’s professional experience spans 17 years’ experience across organisations such as PricewaterhouseCoopers Kenya and KPMG Kenya and her key areas of experience include executive search, selection, coaching and change management.

 

Nyawera holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with specialisation in Human Resources Management from Trent University, Canada and a Higher National Diploma in Human Resources Management from the Institute of Human Resources Management (Kenya). She is currently pursuing an MSC in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology. She is also an experienced and licensed user of SHL psychometric tools, a Certified Professional Workplace Coach and a Certified Prosci Change Management Professional and Trainer.

Severin Luebke

Severin Luebke Experienced Development Finance & Strategy for Emerging Markets. He has worked as an Advisor, Investment Team at Department for International Development (DFID), Assistant Manager, Change Management at FSD Africa and research analyst at Global Data Technology (UK).

 

MBA from Cambridge Judge Business School, UK. A degree in Population and Development Economics, Development Economics and International Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)as well as a degree in Economics & Politics from University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

Paul Musoke

Managing Partner

Paul Musoke is a certified associate Executive Coach with the Academy of Executive Coaching (UK). He is the Founder & Managing Partner at Ankolo Consulting. Prior to this, he was the Director, Financial Institutions at FSD Africa. Paul joined FSD Africa from Housing Finance Bank Uganda where he was the Deputy Managing Director. Prior to that he held positions of Executive Director – Consumer Banking and Chief Operating Officer at DFCU Bank Uganda.

 

He held Executive management roles in Retail Banking, Banking Operations and Information Technology at Stanbic Bank (Uganda) and Standard Bank of South Africa. Paul has a Bachelor of Commerce from Makerere University, Kampala, as well as executive development certification at the Wharton School, INSEAD, Ashridge Business School and the Gordon Institute of Business Science in Johannesburg.

Nsabirwa Ambrose

Nsabirwa Ambrose is an experienced corporate finance and business strategy professional working mainly with SMEs. He is highly skilled in financial management, financial modeling, strategic and risk management. He has been managing a youth challenge agribusiness fund intended that trains and finances young people to set up agribusinesses with the intension of creating more employment opportunities.

 

Ambrose holds a double degree Master of Science in Finance from the University of Siena in Italy and Bachelors ‘degree in Development Economics from Makerere University.

Sylvia Njoroge

Sylvia Njoroge is a Business and People Operations specialist with 11-year career spanning across different industries in East Africa. Her decisive strengths and ‘big picture’ thinking have enabled her to analyze process gaps, create strategic plans and drive organizational change to create robust, efficient teams and processes for small and medium enterprises. She is a certified HR practitioner and a member of Institute Human Resource Management.

 

At Ankolo Consulting, Sylvia oversees the internal business operations and client project management. She has a BA in International relations – USIU Africa and Higher Diploma – Human Resource Management.
